John Larroquette, who played Assistant District Attorney Dan Fielding on both editions of NBC sitcom Night Court, remembered his costar Richard Moll today in a tribute on social media.
Moll, best known as the towering bailiff “Bull Shannon” on Night Court, died Oct. 26 at his home in Big Bear Lake, Calif. He was 80 and no cause was given by his family.
Larroquette, Harry Anderson, and Moll were the only characters to appear in every episode of the earlier sitcom. Larroquette won Emmy Awards in four consecutive years for his work on the show, a record at the time.
The original Night Court ran from 1984 to 1992, and Larroquette was the only regular character from the earlier show to go on to the 2023 series continuation.
