A knifeman who carried out late night robberies in Newmains faces a lengthy period behind bars.Serial offender Ryan Hill warned one frightened victim that he would use the blade if he didn't hand over money.Hill, 31, was sentenced at Hamilton Sheriff Court this week.

He reached inside the vehicle, took a packet of cigarettes and made off."One week later two men and a woman were in a car in Shiel Terrace at 10.30pm when Hill struck again.One of the males had got out of the vehicle and was approached by Hill who demanded money, pointed a knife at his stomach
