Marcus Rashford

Marcus Rashford (born 31 October 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team.

A Manchester United player from the age of seven, he scored two goals on both his first-team debut against Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League in February 2016 and his Premier League debut against Arsenal three days later.

He also scored in his first Manchester derby match, his first EFL Cup match and his first UEFA Champions League match. With United, Rashford has so far won the FA Cup, EFL Cup, FA Community Shield and UEFA Europa League.

Erik ten Hag could send some of his Manchester United players into the Anfield cauldron with a "kick in the ass" on Sunday as he bids to avoid another humiliating afternoon on Merseyside.

United are having a nightmare campaign, having lost 12 of their 24 matches this season and they have endured some bruising encounters with Jurgen Klopp's side of late, losing their last two trips to Anfield 4-0 and 7-0.

Ten Hag insists he can use the carrot and the stick with his players when responding to a question about Marcus Rashford, whose form has fallen away this season. The 26-year-old scored 30 times last term and towards the end of the campaign Ten Hag challenged him to get to 40 this season, but his form has deserted him and Alejandro Garnacho has taken his place on the left, with Antony back in favour on the right.
