The Princess of Wales' great-great aunt Margaret Middleton became a national talking point in 1900 after being tragically swept from the rocks at Filey, a coastal town in North Yorkshire.
Despite her friends' valiant efforts, Margaret sadly drowned, and her body was never recovered.Her camera, however, was discovered ashore days later.

reports.Historian Michael Reed, a high school teacher from Melbourne, Australia, unearthed the connection between Margaret and Kate while researching the Princess of Wales' ancestry following her marriage to Prince William in 2011.He told the Daily Mail: "It is extraordinary that so many generations of the Middleton family were keen photographers."It is obviously in their blood.
