Josh Taylor has promised a tough rematch for Jack Catterall in Leeds this Saturday, aiming to make it "a long and painful night" for his opponent.The Scottish boxing star narrowly secured a win over Catterall in their initial bout last year, which ended with a contentious decision that sparked widespread debate.
Taylor, eager to assert his dominance at the First Direct Arena, expressed his desire to not only win but to dominate Catterall, who believed he was the rightful victor of their first encounter."The true Josh Taylor will come out and if it's a great fight and I'm doing well, I'll outperform him, outbox him, it will just be like what I should've done to him the first time," Taylor shared with PA news agency.
Unconcerned with public opinion, Taylor's focus is solely on victory, stating, "I don't care what people think, I'm just after the win.
Ideally I want to make it a long and painful night for him but don't get me wrong if I see that opportunity then I'll be taking it and getting him out of there."He also hinted at an aggressive strategy: "Let's make it a phone box and punch lumps out of each other and really mess him up, why not?
