John Belfield appears in court accused of the murder of Thomas Campbell

A murder accused has appeared in court following his arrest at Manchester Airport. John Belfield is accused of the murder of Thomas Campbell, who died following an incident in Tameside in July 2022.

He has been charged with murder, conspiracy to murder, manslaughter, conspiracy to rob and conspiracy to supply class A drugs.

Mr Belfield, 29, appeared before Manchester magistrates court at a brief hearing this morning. He was remanded in custody and is due to appear before a judge at Manchester Crown Court later this week.
