One of the most iconic moments in television history occurred on March 21, 1980, when the character JR Ewing, portrayed by the late Larry Hagman, was shot twice by an unseen assailant.The mystery of "Who shot JR?" captivated millions of viewers, and when the answer was finally revealed on November 21 of the same year, it became one of the most-watched television episodes of all time.
Last year, Dallas celebrated its 45th anniversary with stars Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray, Charlene Tilton, Audrey Landers, Steve Kanaly, Joan Van Ark, Sheree Wilson, and Cathy Podewell reuniting to reflect on the enduring legacy of the show.
At their reunion, Linda Gray, who portrayed Sue Ellen Ewing, emphasised the show's influence, explaining to People: "Because the show ran for so many years, the audience got to know the characters so genuinely and they really cared for [them] and the characters all went through so much.” The actress added: "I think the fans really loved to relate to the stories that were bigger than life.
