A clip of Jermaine Jenas chatting about "securing the coin" is causing a stir on social media this week, alongside the announcement that the BBC has let go of the presenter after claims of "inappropriate behaviour".
News broke out on Thursday revealing that Jermaine, 41, beloved for his work on programmes like The One Show and Match of the Day, had been 'sacked' by the BBC following allegations of misconduct. The ex-footballer's exit is linked to issues with "workplace conduct,", with reports suggesting digital communications, including text messages, were brought to the corporation's notice a few weeks prior.
Jermaine has remarked that there are "two sides to every story" and is having his lawyers "deal with it." Amidst this turmoil, a video, allegedly shared by him last year, has exploded across social platforms. This week alone, it has been reshared multiple times, accumulating over 4 million views on one particular tweet.
In the footage, we see Jermaine lounging in a garden opining: "There's times when you've been out all week busy, working hard, securing the coin." He emphasizes the word "coin", glancing skywards as he speaks before going on to say: "Only certain man know what I'm talking about when it comes to securing the coin.
