Ex-BBC pundit Jermaine Jenas is in the midst of controversy after he allegedly sent an explicit photo to a female event organiser during the World Cup in Qatar.The woman alleged that Jermaine, who worked as a pundit for the BBC during the World Cup, sent her a photo of his privates and brazenly asked: "You want my boy now? " While also requesting pictures of her in a bikini.The 41-year-old was on air at talkSPORT Drive when the news of his sacking came out.
He has since expressed regret for his actions in an interview with The Sun. He maintained he had done "nothing illegal" and confessed he felt "ashamed" of what had transpired.The footballer added: "I have let myself down, my family, friends and colleagues down.
I owe everyone an apology, especially the women with whom I was messaging. I am so, so sorry." However, claims of unsolicited messages have been disputed by Jermaine.
A person close to him asserted to The Sun: "Jermaine completely denies these texts were unsolicited.They were between two consenting adults." The event's organiser, highlighted by the Daily Mail and reported to be 38 years old, met Jermaine in December 2022 while working in Doha.
