Jeremy Clarkson has shared his heartbreak over the loss of a beloved animal at his Diddly Squat Farm. The former Top Gear presenter revealed that he and his partner Lisa Hogan were left devastated before Christmas when Lisa's horse, Bertie, passed away at the age of 26.
In his column for The Times, Jeremy described the sad event: "It wasn’t a fun event, even for me, and I didn’t like it one bit." He added: "When Lisa’s horse died, I was upset because I could see she was.
And because I would have to deal with it." The TV star also described how they found poor Bertie "lying on his side, in a stream" at the farm.
Jeremy also hinted at more potential troubles at the farm, writing: "At least with all this unpleasantness out of the way, we won’t have to face it tomorrow, which will free up some time for some other unpleasantness." He listed possible future issues such as a cow getting onto the road or a fox getting into the henhouse. The news of their loss at the farm comes after Jeremy shared a concerning health update with fans, revealing that he's been "coughing up his spleen" and struggling with breathlessness. The 63 year old TV presenter admitted in his column for The Sunday Times that he finds it hard to keep up with his son 26 year old Finlo during their walks to Stamford Bridge.
