Janey Godley has responded to a troll who posted vile tweets about cancer. A Twitter user named Lauren responded to footage of Janey appearing on Lorraine Kelly 's ITV show on Tuesday, where she spoke about her cancer being treatable but not curable, with a vile comment, saying: "This woman is a cancer, she will never beat something she is herself." The comedian responded to the tweet with care as Twitter users expressed their disgust at the comment.

Janey replied: "It is what it is - "I feel for Lauren (if that’s her name?) I wish them well."One wrote: "Absolutely disgusting this." Another added: "I've just reported her.

Utterly vile." A second said: "OMG I’m utterly horrified by that tweet, absolutely dreadful." And another user penned: "Don’t think I have ever read anything more vile."Many users sent the 61-year-old messages of support.

One wrote: "You have so much support, you keep being your fantastic self." Another said: "@JaneyGodley is an absolute inspiration and I wish her well with her ongoing health issues and success in her upcoming tour."The exchange comes after Janey's ITV appearance on Tuesday about her upcoming tour in which she shared it would be her last due to the return of her cancer. She told Lorraine: "This time it's on my peritoneum, which is the organ that holds all your bits in around your tummy, and I'm going to have to just deal with that, I have to say that the Beatson and Scottish NHS have been astounding, they've been there at every single point.
