Things got heated on This Morning today as Rishi Sunak’s controversial transgender joke was discussed.ITV host Alison Hammond was forced to step in as former Made in Chelsea star Ashley James clashed with radio host Nick Ferrari over the issue.The Prime Minister has been urged to apologise after he mocked Keir Starmer's views on trans rights while the mother of murdered transgender teenager Brianna Ghey was watching on.Sunak attempted to mock the Labour leader's stance on “defining a woman” during Prime Minister's Questions in front of Esther Ghey on Wednesday.Starmer condemned the Tory Prime Minister’s remark, with a chorus of opposition backbenchers calling out: “Shame" and Sunak's spokesperson would not apologise for the comments after PMQs.During today’s episode of This Morning, as writes the Mirror, hosted by Alison and Dermot O’Leary, Ashley and Nick were invited to have their say, with LBC star Ferrari saying the comments hadn’t been made with any malice, while Ashley raged that the comments cannot be defended.
