A new ITV game show has been plunged into chaos on Wednesday 17 July after three contestants were rushed to hospital needing treatment following a challenge during filming. The programme, called 99 To Beat, is a Squid Game-inspired challenge show in which 100 contestants go head to head in a series of tasks with the ultimate goal to become the last person standing and winner of the grand prize. The show, presented by brothers Adam and Ryan Thomas, reportedly went wrong during a challenge in which the contestants had to dive into a 20ft pile of hay.

However, some contestants had an "allergic reaction" due to the hay, and it has also been claimed that one person also suffered a head injury after collapsing in the toilets.

A spokesperson for South Central Ambulance Service said: "We were called this morning to Shinfield to reports of people who had become unwell.

We sent to the scene a number of ambulance resources to assess patients.Three patients were taken to hospital for further treatment to non-life threatening issues, and others were assessed at the scene but did not require hospital treatment." A spokesman for the production company told the Mirror: "A small number of contestants received medical attention after having an adverse reaction to hay, while participating in a game to retrieve chopsticks from a large haystack.
