Viewers were stunned on Saturday night at The Masked Singer when the eight final acts took to the floor before yet another person would be 'unmasked' in front of the audience, judges and viewers at home - with Owl losing out to Eiffel Tower.However nobody expected what was coming next when it was actually ITV host Lorraine Kelly behind the mask, with the Scottish presenter admitting it was the 'first time I have ever sang in front of an audience' as she was praised for getting so far.Throughout her time in the competition, hints were dropped about her identity including her favourite football team being Dundee United, and about the opportunity she got to star in game show The Cube with her daughter Rosie.There was also reference to Dawn French portraying the television host in Absolutely Fabulous.
It comes as Lorraine is due to participate as a guest judge herself on the programme, with fans stunned she appeared as a contestant.
Lorraine took to Twitter following the show on Saturday night, as she said: "Did you guess?? Yep - I was OWL on The Masked Singer - what fun !
Thanks to all the team for such a happy time - loved it so much," alongside a heart emoji.One fan said: "I never even considered you as I saw adverts where you're a guest judge.
