Wayne Rooney has shared his views on working with David Moyes, Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho at Manchester United, explaining how the trio differed in their management styles.
Rooney of course spent the majority of his United playing career under the stewardship of Sir Alex Ferguson, though later had the chance to experience Moyes, Van Gaal, Mourinho and Ryan Giggs (who took charge of four matches as a temporary coach).
Having recently been sacked as Birmingham City manager, Rooney appeared on the Stick To Football Podcast with Gary Neville, Roy Keane and Jill Scott to review Ferguson's successors that he worked under at Old Trafford, and where things went right - and wrong - for those in the dugout. Offering his view on where things went wrong for the Scot, Rooney has claimed the ex-Everton boss was shown a lack of respect by senior players from the get-go. Rooney: "The players never gave David Moyes a chance at Manchester United.
