Sir Elton Hercules John CH CBE (born Reginald Kenneth Dwight; 25 March 1947) is an English singer, songwriter, pianist, and composer. He has also produced records and occasionally acted in films. John owned Watford F.C. from 1976 to 1987 and from 1997 to 2002, and is an honorary life president of the club.

Sir Elton John has an extravagant number of homes dotted all around the world and is reportedly resting up at one of his most luxurious abodes in the south of France.

Reports revealed that the Rocket Man singer, 76, was taken to the orthopaedic department at Monaco's Princess Grace Hospital on the evening of Sunday, 27 August after suffering some minor injuries from a household fall.

Following Elton's shock fall, the star is said to be recuperating at his villa in Nice where he regularly spends time with his husband David Furnish and their two children, Zachary, 12 and Elijah, 10.

In true Elton style, the legendary singer opted to paint the lavish mansion a bright shade of lemon from its traditional red brick building, giving it the nickname of the "yellow palace".The 1920s villa has a red brick roof, exposed stone walling and a sprawling balcony - the perfect place for the Are You Ready for Love?
