The 63-year-old broadcaster hadn't shared what illness Anne was suffering from until today, when she opened up on the "really bad kidney problem" she'd faced during a chat with Dr Hilary Jones on Monday's show. "My mum is doing really well, she had this really bad kidney problem.
Thank you to everyone at Monklands hospital renal unit for looking after her so well," Lorraine said.Sharing a snap of her mum Anne and her dad, John, on the programme, Lorraine added: "Look she's beaming, she looks really well.
She's out galavanting - that's my wee dad as well."Lorraine has kept fans updated over the summer on her mum's health and last week she shared a positive update on social media, revealing that Anne appeared to be in good spirits as she enjoyed a day out with John after a worrying few months.
