Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, KCVO ADC (Henry Charles Albert David;15 September 1984) is the younger son of Charles, Prince of Wales and Diana, Princess of Wales and is sixth in the line of succession to the British throne. Harry was educated at Wetherby School, Ludgrove School, and Eton College. He spent parts of his gap year in Australia and Lesotho. He then underwent officer training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. He was commissioned as a cornet (second lieutenant) into the Blues and Royals, serving temporarily with his brother Prince William, and he completed his training as a troop leader. In 2007–08, he served for over ten weeks in Helmand, Afghanistan, but was pulled out after an Australian magazine revealed his presence there. He returned to Afghanistan for a 20-week deployment in 2012–13 with the Army Air Corps. He left the army in June 2015.

Halloween has long been a cherished holiday for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and the couple have enjoyed celebrating it together since the early days of their romance.Their affection for the spooky season dates back to 2016, when they were just a few months into their relationship.That year, they spent their first Halloween as a couple with Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank at Soho House in Toronto, where they attended an Apocalypse-themed party.

Photos featured in the Sussexes' Netflix documentary series show the foursome's costumes from that night, including Harry's Mad Max outfit, which was borrowed from actor Tom Hardy.

However, their evening was disrupted by a distressing phone call informing them that news of their relationship was about to break.

According to the biography Finding Freedom, authored by Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, the couple had been having a "perfect" evening at Soho House, where they were eager to participate in the Halloween festivities.The book reads: "They especially didn't feel like spending Halloween weekend in hiding, as there was much to celebrate.
