'I’ve faced some tough challenges as World's Strongest Man, but never anything quite like that'

The World’s Strongest Man has faced one of his biggest challenges to date - attempting to complete a red hot eating challenge featuring the world’s hottest chilli.

Reigning champion Tom Stoltman is the only Briton to have won three World's Strongest Man titles, having retained the honour earlier this year.

Hailing from Invergordon in Scotland, the 30-year-old visited one pub in Greater Manchester earlier this week to try a dish hailed as their spiciest ever served.

Visiting the Royal Sovereign Flaming Grill pub, on Eccles Old Road in Salford, with his brother, Luke, who is also named Europe’s Strongest Man, the pair said attempting to finish off the pub’s newest plus-size Spicy Clucker platter was a tempting challenge for them. READ MORE: Team behind hit Manchester restaurant to open new tapas bar as popular café quietly closes The platter, which will be available in all Flaming Grill pubs for a limited time, is made up of pulled tikka chicken thigh, Spicy Reapers Revenge Chipolata sausages, chicken skewers, fries, onion bhajis, rice and salad.
