Holby City star died at 22 in shocking accident - but still appeared in show

Millions of soap fans watched the final TV appearance of tragic Holby City actress Laura Sadler after her death in pre-recorded episodes of the show.The star, who played staff nurse Sandy Harper for three years, from 2000, died in June 2003 following a 40ft fall from a balcony at the west London home of her boyfriend, George Calil.
She suffered severe head injuries and never regained consciousness. In a tragic twist, her previous role was Grange Hill’s Judi Jeffreys, who died after a fall from a window trying to escape a burning building.
After Laura was taken to London's Charing Cross Hospital, her mother, Sonya, kept a vigil beside her daughter throughout her last days.
