Granddad missing for over a week found drinking a pint in Wetherspoons
dailyrecord.co.ukA grandad who disappeared while 'pottering around in his garden' has been found supping a pint in a Wetherspoons pub.Ronald Webster, known as Ronnie, left his home before being seen catching a bus last Thursday afternoon.His granddaughter Paige Tattersall said the disappearance of Ronald, 81, for more than a week left members of the family 'broken'.
Ronald was missing without his medication, a phone and with just the clothes on his back, reports the MEN. His disappearance launched a national search, with police and his family saying Ronnie was found today safe and well - in a Manchester pub with a pint, having travelled from Oldham."He's absolutely fine he was just scared of going back to my gran I think!
He knows he's in trouble." joked his worried granddaughter.Greater Manchester Police said Ronald was last seen on Walkers Road in Oldham at around 1.05pm, then on Monday said he had been seen on a bus heading towards Huddersfield.Ronnie's family previously said they were worried sick, and Ronnie's wife had been left heartbroken.Ronald's granddaughter, Paige posted on Facebook saying: "They have found him!!!!
Will update properly soon but he's coming home!"He was in bloody Wetherspoons in Manchester drinking a pint [before] coming home.
