Staff at Clonezone have been left terrified after the shop came under attack from thugs for a FIFTH time this year. Bosses at the LGBTQ+ adult store, in Manchester's Gay Village, were forced to replace its windows with steel panels after a spate of attacks in March, April and May.

Now, the shop has come under attack again, with a masked offender seen attempting to break the steel panels before entering the shop front with a crowbar.

Richard Tropez, general manager at Clonezone, says staff heard 'smash, smash, smash' as the ordeal unfolded at around 2pm yesterday (September 10). "It's done very minimal damage because of the investment that we have put in to the panels," he told the Manchester Evening News. "But they've actually gone a step further this time. As in previous incidents, CCTV footage shows the offender approach the Sackville Street store on the back of a motorbike, along with another person in a balaclava.

The attacker then runs towards the store and begins to strike the steel panels. Having failed to break them, he then strikes the front door of the store, and steps inside the shop to hit one of the security sensors.
