Liam James Payne (born 29 August 1993) is an English singer and songwriter.
He rose to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction.
Payne made his debut as a singer when he auditioned for the British television series The X Factor in 2008. After being eliminated as a solo performer, he auditioned again in 2010 and was put into a group with four other contestants to form One Direction
Future of mothballed Dumfries and Galloway cottage hospitals to be discussed
dailyrecord.co.ukTuesday is D-Day for the future of four of Dumfries and Galloway’s cottage hospitals. The results of a consultation into the future of facilities in Newton Stewart, Thornhill, Moffat and Kirkcudbright are set to be discussed at an extraordinary meeting of the region’s Integration Joint Board.
Six options were drawn up for the sites, which were mothballed in 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic. Proposals which went out for consultation included closing the site, continuing with the mothballing or creating community health and social care hubs.
However, during the consultation, another suggestion appeared to find favour – that the hospitals are re-opened with a small number of beds as well as some community services.
That was also the favoured approach by councillors when the matter was discussed at the latest full council meeting. The results of the consultation and the way forward will be discussed by the Integration Joint Board on Monday, October 29.
