Hundreds of thousands of HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) claimants will begin receiving the £300 Cost of Living Payment from today (November 10).
While those claiming means-tested benefits from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) have already begun receiving their Cost of Living payment since November 1, those exclusively getting payments from HMRC have had to wait until today.
Despite this, the same deadline of November 19 has been attributed to both government department payments. However, not all claimants will be eligible for the second round of Cost of Living Payments.
This is because very specific criteria have been laid out for those who will be considered automatically eligible for the payment.
