Celtic have announced an increase in cash in the bank to more than £77million in the latest set of financial results.Brendan Rodgers' side won the league and Scottish Cup last season and the totals from up to June 30 2024 pull in the full rewards of a return to the Champions League and silverware aplenty for the Scottish Premiership champions.
Group revenue increased by 3.9 per cent to a staggering £124.6m from £119.9m from £88.2m. Operating expenses including labour increased by a increased by 10.4% to £105.4m from £95.4m alongside a gain on sale of player registrations of £6.6m, from £14.4m.
There was an acquisition of player registrations of £16.6mm, changing from £13m.Profit before taxation of £17.8m falling from £40.7m.
Despite the drop, the club boast a whopping £77.2m cash reserve in the bank, where the 2023 count stood at £72.3m. Chairman Peter Lawwell said in a lengthy statement: "I should start by congratulating Brendan, in his first season back at Celtic Park and the men’s team for securing the Scottish Premiership and Scottish Cup. "I also extend my congratulations to Elena and our women’s team for securing the club’s first ever SWPL Championship.
