Former BBC Breakfast presenter Louise Minchin revealed she has been "banned" from taking part in Strictly Come Dancing. The 56-year-old quit the BBC show in 2021, having spent almost two decades working on the early morning slot.

She has gone on to appear in I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! at Gwrych Castle in Wales, and has now penned her own novel. It seems the mum-of-two has made it her mission to appear on every reality TV show, having also taken part in Time Crashers, Celebrity Masterchef, and Celebrity Gladiators.

She even completed a 100-mile trek across the Namib Desert for Sport Relief.Strictly, however, won't be added to the list, as Louise's children have barred her from competing for the famous Glitterball trophy.Speaking to The Telegraph, she said: “They know I'm a terrible dancer so the possibility of being hugely embarrassing is massive.

I'm banned for being embarrassing.”It was Louise's stint in I'm a Celeb that breathed life into her literary ambition, with her novel weaving a tale around a fictional reality TV show.
