Former Emmerdale star Sheree Murphy stuns British Soap Awards viewers as they're quickly in tears

The actress made an unexpected appearance at the British Soap Awards on Saturday night (June 3) which were recorded in front of a live audience at The Lowry theatre at Salford Quays.
But she wasn't seen on-screen until Tuesday night (June 6) when the glitzy, star-studded ceremony aired on ITV. Sheree, who is known for playing Tricia Dingle in Yorkshire-based soap, popped up alongside Gemma Atkinson and Verity Rushworth to surprise Emmerdale favourite Mark Charnock with one of the biggest prizes of the evening.

Sheree, Gemma and Verity, who all played Marlon's wives or girlfriend in the soap, paid tribute to Mark as an "incredible actor" and reflected on his hard-hitting storylines over the years, including the most recent in which his character suffered a life-changing stroke.
