Police are investigating after fire ripped through a car which was parked on a street in Fife on Friday evening. Footage from the scene shows a blaze raging from the front of the vehicle while hazard lights flash at the rear.The car was parked on a residential street in Kirkcaldy next to a busy main road.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) were alerted to the incident on Tiree Place in the town at around 6.30pm.There were no reports of casualties.
A SFRS spokesperson said: "We got the first call to Tiree Place, Kirkcaldy at 18.30. One appliance was sent there."There was a car well alight and we left the scene at 19.17.
No reports of casualties."Police Scotland have now launched a full investigation into the circumstances of the fire. A spokesperson said: “Around 7pm on Friday, 10 February, we were made aware of car fire in Tiree Place, Kirkcaldy. “The fire was put out by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
