Former television presenter Fiona Phillips has confirmed that she has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, aged just 62.The much loved GMTV host and Mirror columnist was diagnosed with the disease 18 months ago and has shared that it is a condition both her parents battled previously, reports the Mirror.

The 62-year-old is currently being cared for by her loving husband, and This Morning boss, Martin Frizell. Speaking in an exclusive Mirror interview, 64-year-old Martin has explained that Fiona's illness has meant he has been ramping up the doting husband duties.These have included whipping up nutritious meals and taking her on regular trips to their home in Italy.He said: "Before I didn’t ever have to worry about Fiona before and now I do. ‘What is she doing all day while I’m at work?
