The family of a vulnerable OAP who was filmed semi-naked and exploited on Snapchat have shared their fury as the carer who assaulted her had his community service paused.Liam Stark mocked the 88-year-old great-grandmother while she was in a state of undress and as he cared for her at Benore Care Centre in Lochgelly, Fife, in July 2022.

The 22-year-old went on to assault the pensioner, who has vascular dementia, by repeatedly flicking her chest with his finger. The sickening scene was filmed and uploaded by Stark to his social media, where he could be singing: “Donald where’s your troosers”.In the disturbing footage, the elderly woman could be seen wearing only a t-shirt and underwear.

Stark was initially charged with sexual assault, however, he pleaded guilty to an amended charge at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court in January. He was ordered to perform 300 hours of unpaid work as part of a Community Payback Order (CPO).

The hours - the maximum available - were given as a direct alternative to custody. But now his punishment has been paused for three months after it was revealed that Stark was struggling to complete his hours.
