A woman raped and battered by a sadistic Kilmarnock thug who terrorised multiple victims over 20 years has branded him “evil”.

Denise Fairley has waived her right to anonymity to speak out after her violent ex Stephen Neilson was jailed for nine years at the High Court in Glasgow earlier this month.The 39-year-old carer told how Neilson appeared “too good to be true” at the start of their relationship in 2015, as he showered her with kindness, gifts and holidays.

But the thug began his brutal campaign of abuse on Denise immediately after he persuaded her to quit her job and move into his house.Denise, from Glasgow, told our sister paper, the Daily Record: “When I first met him, he was the nicest guy and I thought he was so handsome.

I used to say to him that he was just too good to be true. Then he told me that I should quit my job and move in with him. He said he’d look after me.“The minute I did that, everything changed.
