Rebecca Rubin Film and Media Reporter Oscar-winning directors Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, known professionally as Daniels, will debut their cinematic follow-up to “Everything Everywhere All at Once” in 2026.
Universal Pictures, which recently signed an exclusive first-look deal with the filmmakers, added to its release calendar an “Untitled Event Film Directed by Daniels” on June 12, 2026.
There is zero information — no title, genre, nor stars — available about the film. The directing duo’s zany sci-fi-adventure-comedy “Everything Everywhere All at Once” was backed by A24 and became the first indie film since the pandemic to clear $100 million at the global box office.
The movie stars Michelle Yeoh as a struggling laundromat owner who, while being audited by the IRS, discovers she has to connect with parallel universe versions of herself to prevent cataclysmic destruction.
