Erling Haaland's 'niggles' mean he should not be risked in Manchester City's final friendly of their USA tour after reporting muscular injury problems against Barcelona.

Haaland has been withdrawn at half time in both City's previous friendlies - against AC Milan in New York and Barca in Orlando.

After explaining the first one was pre-planned, Guardiola confirmed the latest substitution was injury related. Guardiola went on to explain that City will not risk his fitness with so few senior players available, especially if it meant he was out for longer than just half a friendly.

So with that in mind, if there is any doubt over his injury status, he should not be risked against Chelsea in the final game of the summer tour.
