The end is near, but Michael Sheen is ready to go out with a bang on the third and final season of Prime Video‘s Good Omens.

The Golden Globe nominee, who plays angel Aziraphale in the series adaptation of Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett‘s book, teased that he’s “very excited” about what’s in store for the show, which also stars David Tennant as demon Crowley. “It’s still in development, but obviously I’m very excited to work with David again, and I love that character.

I’m very excited about it,” he told TV Insider. “One of the extraordinary things about being a part of [Good Omens] is the audience, the fans, the fandom of it,” added Sheen. “You have to take it very seriously because people get really affected by it.

And seeing how people reacted to the end of Season 2 was extraordinary. So yeah, I hope, and I’m sure, that Season 3 will be a satisfying experience for everyone.” The Season 2 finale saw Aziraphale returning to Heaven as supreme archangel while Crowley drove off in the Bentley, parting with a kiss after the latter suggested they run off together and be an “us.” When confronted with how heartbreaking the finale was, Sheen said, “I know, I know.” Meanwhile, Tennant has also teased an exciting conclusion while appearing on a panel at Florida Supercon 2024 last month. “I know where it’s going, and I defy anyone not to think that it’s the perfect ending,” he said. “I’m not giving very much away with that.
