The shopkeeper has been unaware that his son has been seeing his ex-girlfriend behind his back. But David discovered the truth on his birthday, catching Jacob and Victoria kissing through the window of the home they share.
As he stood looking through the window, he was called from across the road by Leyla Cavangh. He half-heartedly answered her questions as they prepared to mark his birthday, but he continued to look on in horror and heartbreak.
During Tuesday night (November 28) edition of the ITV soap, viewers saw David struggling to accept what he saw.
