In scenes aired last week viewers of the ITV soap may have noted Jacob asking Victoria Sugden whether he was safe to eat some of the new dishes on offer at The Hide.
During Monday night's episode, after a late night, Victoria mistakenly told Jacob, who has a nut allergy, that a slider at the tasting event hosted by Leyla and colleague Suzy Merton, was nut-free, leading to a severe allergic reaction.
Within seconds he was struggling to breathe as he came out in rashes and started to sweat before collapsing to the ground. After Jacob's Auto Adrenaline Injector broke, panic ensued as Victoria frantically tried to search for another before Jacob managed to indicate there was one in his car.
