As Emmerdale's Bernice Blackstock, played by Samantha Giles, bid farewell to the Dales after 25 years, fans were already predicting that we have not seen the last of the iconic character.

Bernice has left the village after she had been spending recklessly, accumulating debts and even borrowing money under her sister Nicola's name.

Things came to a head when her family discovered her actions, leading her to attempt to flee. However, Nicola stopped her and threatened to involve the police unless Bernice complied with her demands.

Scared, Bernice agreed to sign over the bed and breakfast to Nicola, meaning she and Jimmy now co-own it with Bob Hope and have also inherited all the debts.
