Xol, a resident of Palm Springs, California, died at the Desert Regional Medical Center on September 20, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, following injuries from a reported stabbing on September 10.
TMZ reports that the Palm Springs Police Department discovered Xol with significant injuries following a reported stabbing. Authorities say Xol was in serious but stable condition when he was hospitalized.
The publication notes that Richard Joseph Gonzales has since been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection to the incident.
Xol starred in ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition between seasons 2 and 8 alongside host Ty Pennington. The designer also starred in Televisa telenovelas like Acapulco, Cuerpo y Alma (1995), Sentimientos Ajenos (1996) and La Jaula de Oro (1997).
