Eddie Howe has dismissed suggestions Newcastle United are lining up a move for former Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea.

The Magpies could look to sign a new 'keeper in the January transfer window, with Nick Pope sidelined through a serious shoulder injury he picked up in the weekend win over United.
