Manchester United are heading into a new era after Sir Jim Ratcliffe completed his deal to invest in the club. The 71-year-old billionaire now holds a 25 per cent stake at the Premier League giants after successfully getting his deal over the line.
INEOS founder Sir Jim will initially work alongside the Glazer family in the boardroom. Starting up a long-winded saga, the much-maligned Americans announced a strategic review to their ownership in November 2022 as Sir Jim and Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim went head-to-head for outright control.
However, when the latter withdrew from the bidding process, Sir Jim too made a revised offer.
