This was the damage left behind outside a cricket club as a driver tried to flee from police after crashing a suspicious car.

Police spotted the red Audi A3 in Bolton after realising it was carrying cloned number plates. Officers from Greater Manchester Police's roads policing unit (RPU) began to pursue the car but the driver failed to stop.

Eventually, the Audi came to a halt on Chelsea Road, as it smashed into a fence outside the Deane and Derby Cricket Club. GMP says the driver then tried to escape from officers on foot.

A police helicopter was used to help track the driver down, and they were eventually arrested.
