A driver mounted a Volkswagen onto the bonnet of a Aston Martin sports car after 'losing control'. The incident unfolded outside the luxury car dealership on Water Lane in Wilmslow yesterday (May 7).

The driver of a Volkswagen Tiguan, a male, reportedly lost control of the car and reversed it back onto the blue Aston Martin DBS.

Pictures showed the Volkswagen left parked on an angle after hitting the bonnet of the sportscar. The Aston Martin, which is worth more than £200,000, was left crushed at the front with debris from the car left strewn across the pavement. Enquiries are ongoing 'to establish the circumstances' around the incident, a spokesperson for Cheshire Police said. No arrests have been made.
