Dietitian's 'game-changing' cheap lunch that contains 20g of protein

A dietitian has shared her "go to" breakfast, lunch and snack choice which is a simple dish that anyone can prepare. As well as being easy to make, it's ideal for those on a budget or with limited time and energy, as it can be made in advance and last you for an entire week.Taking to TikTok, Carly, also known as @nutritionbycarly on the app, says that this is her "go to meal prep egg cups" - and they look incredible.

She said: "I started making these when I was a student studying during my masters and when I was on placement, these were an absolute game-changer."I would prep 12 of these at the start of the week" she said adding: "I could have them for lunches, breakfast on the go or often just as a high-protein snack."The accredited practising dietitian and nutritionist says that consuming just three of her egg cups will get you "approximately 20 grams of protein" in your diet "which is quite good for a lunch option." She adds: "The best thing is that you can change them as much as you'd like."I love to add things like relish and cheese into mine and some fresh herbs.

But you really can add whatever you like. They last really well so put them in an airtight container and you can enjoy them all week long."To prepare them, she grabs a cupcake/muffin tin and lines them with ham.

Next she adds greens - this can be rocket, spinach or another lettuce of your choice. She then adds a dollop of relish and cracks one raw egg into each cup.
