Terror suspect Daniel Abed Khalife is at the centre of a UK-wide manhunt after escaping from prison in his cook's uniform this morning.Police are scouring the country to locate the 21-year-old, with airports including Glasgow brought to a near standstill as Border Force officials carry out enhanced security checks.Khalife escaped from the kitchen in HMP Wandsworth around 7.50am this morning by clinging to a delivery van.

He has been on the run ever since, the Manchester Evening News reports.Khalife was being held on remand in the category B prison ahead of a trial in relation to terrorism and Official Secrets Act offences.He is described as being of slim build, with short brown hair and is around 6ft 2ins tall.

When he was last seen he was wearing a white t-shirt, red and white chequered trousers and brown steel toe cap boots.British Army soldier Khalife is accused of carrying out a bomb hoax and eliciting information about forces personnel for purposes that could be 'useful' to a terrorist.On January 27, he was charged with a terror offence which was said to have occurred on August 2, 2021.

He was also charged in connection with the bomb hoax alleged to have taken place on January 2 this year. Both offences are alleged to have happened at RAF Stafford.The full terror charges say he 'elicited' personal information about soldiers from the Ministry of Defence Joint Personnel Administration System which was 'likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism'.The alleged bomb hoax Khalife is accused of was said to have been carried out 'with the intention of inducing in another a belief that the said item was likely to explode or ignite' and cause injury or damage to property after three canisters
