Coronation Street's Luca Toolan speaks out on Mason's shock return and teases how long he'll be staying

Coronation Street star Luca Toolan has spoken about his return to the cobbles for the first time after it was revealed Mason Radcliffe will be released.

It's been three months since the teen was sent to the Young Offenders facility for threatening Liam Connor with a knife. Viewers of the ITV soap were left devastated as they watch Liam become the victim of cruel Weatherfield High bully Mason and his group of mates - including Liam's friend Dylan Wilson.

It was during one of his horrific bullying sessions that Mason pulled a knife on the terrified teen. There were then more heartbreaking scenes when the infuriating bullying campaign later resulted in the discovery that Liam was contemplating taking his own life, leaving his terrified mum, Maria Windass, watching her son's every move, even going so far as to set up a camera in their home. And that's only going to get worse as in upcoming episodes, Mason will be seen heading back to Weatherfield after serving his sentence.
