Coronation Street's Billy star sent same message as he ditches UK for 'much needed' break
manchestereveningnews.co.ukCoronation Street star Daniel Brocklebank has been sent the same message by his friends, fans and followers as he gave an update on his off-screen life after an emotional week in his fictional world.
The actor has recently been part of a string of hard-to-watch scenes in the ITV soap, where he plays Billy Mayhew. As fans of the long-running show know, Billy heartbreakingly missed the chance to say goodbye to his husband Paul Foreman when he died in tragic scenes.
Former builder Paul, played by Peter Ash, was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND), for which there is currently no cure, in April 2023 and he and his loved ones went on to see his health deteriorate in front of their eyes, starting with lost use of his limbs to losing the ability to talk. Later, after doctors informed his family there was nothing more they could do but make him comfortable, Paul took his last breath.
