Coronation Street fans fear tragic new twist after Joseph suffers ‘health scare’

After losing her job at the Rover’s Return and learning that her twin brother is suffering from Motor Neurone Disease, it’s safe to say that Gemma Winters life on the Coronation Street cobbles has been far from easy in 2023.

But things look set to get even worse for the mum of five in the coming days, as her stepson Joseph is faced with a terrifying health scare, that soon leads her taking the youngster to A&E.The situation first began to unfold during Wednesday evening’s visit to Weatherfield, when Joseph began to complain of blurred vision, tiredness and a headache that wouldn’t go away.

After initially trying to shrug off his symptoms, Gemma tried and failed to make an appointment with a doctor, but when his symptoms continued to persist, the worried mum raced to A&E to try and get him seen.

Following the visit, a doctor decided that Joseph was fine, but Gemma still had an inclining that something wasn’t quite right and opted to keep him off school while she searched the internet for answers - something which Joseph’s father later mocked her for.
