Teenage forward Chido Obi-Martin marked his first appearance in three months by scoring in Denmark under-18s' 5-3 win over Norway on Saturday - as he waits for his transfer to Manchester United to be approved by the Premier League.

The 16-year-old is expected to officially complete a move to United from Arsenal in the coming weeks after the Reds agreed a deal with the forward back in July.

However, Obi-Martin will not be able to train or play with his new team-mates until the deal is signed off by the Premier League.

But that hasn't stopped the forward from making the headlines in his homeland, as he marked his first appearance in three months by scoring a goal for Denmark's youth team against Norway on Saturday night. "I spoke to him last week and asked him if he was fit for the fight and injury-free," the coach told the Copenhagen-based sports magazine Tipsbladet. "He was, and he is in between jobs.
