Manchester United might have to contribute to the Premier League's legal costs in their case against Manchester City. The hearing into City's 115 charges for alleged breaches of the Premier League's financial rules between 2009 and 2018 started today (Monday).

City strongly deny all charges and have said their case is supported by a "comprehensive body of irrefutable evidence". City, who maintained their winning start to the Premier League campaign on Saturday, beating Brentford 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium, were charged and referred to an independent commission in February 2023 after a four-year investigation.
