City strongly deny all charges and have said their case is supported by a "comprehensive body of irrefutable evidence". City, who maintained their winning start to the Premier League campaign on Saturday, beating Brentford 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium, were charged and referred to an independent commission in February 2023 after a four-year investigation. The case against City, which will reportedly take up to 10 weeks to be completed, is six years in the making, meaning the legal costs for both sides are expected to run into tens of millions of pounds.
