In a new interview with People, the singer adamantly states: “That rumor is not true.” The shocking allegation first appeared in divorce documents involving Cher’s son Elijah Blue Allman and his wife, Marie Angela King.
They were recently made public as part of the couple’s ongoing divorce case that was first filed by Allman — a year prior to the alleged abduction — in November 2021.
King claims she and Allman had spent 12 days alone together in New York leading up to their wedding anniversary on Nov. 30. They were there to work on their crumbling marriage and she alleges that it was during that trip that the kidnapping occurred. “I am currently unaware of my husband’s wellbeing or whereabouts.
